FDA raids 100+ places, seizes adulterated stuffs worth Rs 7,81,000

Nagpur: Food and Drug Administration comes into action in the month of September every year in terms of conducting raids on adulterated sweets and eatables stocked or sold by their dealers. From this month onward various festivals begin and the shopkeepers and halwais or shopkeepers adulterate milk, khova, edible oils and other consumer stuffs.

Aware of it, the FDA launches its action against adulteration with the beginning of September. Accordingly, the department (FDA) in entire Nagpur district raided more than 100 places/ shops/ godowns and seized adulterated stuff worth Rs 7,81,000. More raids would be conducted in the days ahead, said the FDA sources.
