Fadnavis, Gadkari to inaugurate Symbiosis International University at Wathoda on July 28

Nagpur: The Symbiosis International (Deemed University), Pune has all set to start its 2nd largest campus at Wathoda in Nagpur. The campus will be inaugurated at the hands of Devendra Fadnavis, Chief Minister of Maharashtra and Nitin Gadkari, Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways and Shipping on July 28 at 11 am.

Other distinguished dignitaries to grace the occasion include Chandrashekar Bawankule, Minister of Energy, Sudhir Mungantiwar, Minister of Finance, Planning, and Forest, Vijay Darda, Chairman, Editorial Board, Lokmat Media Group and Mayor Nanda Jichkar.

The campus has been constructed on around 10 lakh sq ft on 75 acres of land to date and the organization has spent over Rs 400 crore on it. The campus comprises of academic and administrative buildings, residential blocks for 900 students, faculty quarters, guest house, auditorium having a seating capacity for 1000 etc.

Facilities such as student’s canteen, solar water system, department wise computer labs, central library, various indoor sports games, gym and outdoor games futsal, basketball and volleyball are also available. Healthcare centre for students and staff which will be open for 24 hours and other common amenities that match international standards.

SIU has reserved 25% of seats for Nagpur domiciled candidates in all programs offered in the Nagpur Campus and has further announced a 15% concession in its tuition fees, the first of its kind in the history of Symbiosis.

Symbiosis started its operations at Nagpur with three schools viz Symbiosis Institute of Business Management (SIBM), Symbiosis Centre of Management Studies, Symbiosis Law School (SLS) and Symbiosis School of Planning, Architecture, and Design (SSPAD).
