An elderly woman was knocked dead by a speeding two-wheeler vehicle on Friday evening under the jurisdiction of Guttikhadan police.
Deceased Leelabai Dashrath Kutrahe (65), a resident of Sai Nagar, near Ashirwad School, Plot No. 13 was walking by Godhani Road, in front of Shrikrishna Mangal Karyalay when a speeding and uncontrolled Activa hit her at around 6.45 pm. Leelabai died on the spot while the ‘killer’ Activa rider sped away from the scene.
Gittikhadan police reached the spot after a passerby informed them. Cops have registered a case under Sections 279, 304 (a), read with sub sections 184, 134 and 177 of the IPC
