Edify’s Young Technological Encephala Creating Future Scientists of India

Nagpur: Applying the laws and theories learnt in the classroom aptly not only to tap the endowments of the nature for the sustainable development of the mankind but also to conserve them, the students of grade I to IX of Edify School, Nagpur held a Science Exhibition at their school campus at Kamptee Road. The inauguration of the event took place with lightening of lamp by the eminent guests, Mr and Mrs AbdeAli Chimthanwala and the Directors
of the School, Mr Inderpreet Singh Tuli and Mrs Mandeep Kaur Tuli followed by the Principal, Dr Plex John, the Head Mistress, Mrs Smita Dev and a few of the parents present.

Under the guidance of the Science teacher and mentor for the event Prof. Gaurav Mahule, the students attempted to hone their scientific skills and displayed more than 72 projects on the topics ranging from Organic Farming, Robotics, Integrated Farming, Magnetism, Change of Weather, Communication and transport and many others.“Science fixes a tryst with the huge treasure the earth and atmosphere hold. Only the wise and kind exploitation can help in
achieving the sustainable growth” – This could be seen from the exhibits by the students.

‘Smart Dustbin’ was the major attraction. To overcome the problem of overflowing dustbins owing to putting the garbage on the mouths of the dustbins by the people negligent of and indifferent to the foul odour and the harmful effects; students came up with the smart dustbins sensing the hand approaching and opening automatically. Many other projects evinced the young scientists’ diligent efforts. The Dierctor, Mr Inderpreet Singh Tuli motivated and congratulated the children for their inquisitive instincts that helped them develop the scientific temperament.
He also congratulated all the Science teachers for teaching them effectively. Parents acclaimed the innovative ideas as well.
