Doctors’ negligence claims patient’s life at Orange City hospital, FIR lodged

Nagpur News: The reputed Orange City Hospital in city faced the heat of its alleged negligence that cost a patient her life and now has come under the scanner of police.

According to police, Vandana Amit Tiwari (31), resident of Plot No. 160, Bajaj Nagar, Nagpur, was admitted to Orange City Hospital on 17.10.2013. However, Vandana died the next day (18.10.2013) while undergoing treatment.

At that time, Dhantoli Police had registered a case of accidental death. But the morgue report of Medical Board came to the conclusion that Vandana was suffering from Dengue and was needed immediate and appropriate treatment. But the concerned Orange City Hospital doctors did not treat her properly resulting in her death.

Now, Dhantoli PSI Shriram has booked the accused doctors under Sections 304(A)34 of the IPC and investigating the matter further.
