Nagpur: A major tragedy was averted by the alertness of travel bus driver as bus crashed into tress after its break failure at Narendra Nagar traffic signal on Wednesday morning. All the passengers survived the incident with minor injuries, which later sent to the Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH).
Travel bus (MH/23/6601) was heading towards the city from Wardha. After reaching Radisson Blu hotel the bus took turn towards Narendra Nagar ring road. While bus was coming down from the bridge, is when the break failed. Soon as the driver learnt about failure he alerted fellow passengers.
As bus was off the bridge, driver rammed it into tress nearby to halt. The impact was such that the windscreen of the bus was shattered and glass was strewn all over the ground. Though 7 suffered normal injuries during this incident, no causality reported due to vigilance of the driver.
