Nagpur: The Deputy Commissioner of Police Zone 4 Nilesh Bharne inaugurated the newly set up Motha Tajbagh Police Post. The function was presided over by Regional Provident Fund Commissioner-1 Vikas Kumar. ACP Ravindra Kapgate was also present on the occasion.

Earlier, due to lack of place, the Police Post was functioning from a makeshift structure near Shitala Mata Mandir Square near office of Regional Provident Fund. However, keeping in mind the need, Regional Provident Fund Commissioner-1 Vikas Kumar made available land in his office premises and also constructed an eco-friendly, fire proof police post. The police post was handed over to Police Department for Motha Tajbagh Beat. Sakkardara Police Station has four beats.

With the Motha Tajbagh Police Post, teams of beat police would be available 24 hours. It will help in curbing crimes of all kinds as well as criminals, said DCP Bharne. Vikas Kumar said that his office would accord priority to such kind of works in future also.

Police Inspector Sandeepan Pawar said that the police post was needed to curb activities of criminals as Motha Tajbagh area and Bhande Plot area have mixed population with people from different communities reside there. He thanked Vikas Kumar for extending all help in setting up of police post.
