Nagpur: A ruffian, posing as “D” company henchman, threatened two brothers, who run Vithoba Dant Manjan Company of dire consequences and demanded extortion money. The two brothers received the threatening phone calls around 11 pm on Wednesday. Cops have booked the accused goon and are searching for him.
The complainant Kartik Eknath Shende (42), resident of Plot No. 28, Hanuman Society, Vaishali Nagar, received a call on Wednesday night from a mobile phone 8886535691. The caller said, “I am talking from “D” Company from Hyderabad. Do you don’t care about wellbeing of your son.” With these abusive words the caller disconnected the phone. However, soon after, the caller called another brother Sudarshan Shende and said, “Is this number of Vithoba Dant Manjan? I am Rashid of ‘D’ Company, Hyderabad talking. Your brother is not listening to me. I want ‘Chanda.’ Chanda means donation (extortion money).” With these threatening words, the caller demanded extortion money from the two industralist brothers.
Panchpaoli PSI G E Kale has booked the unidentified caller under Sections 385, 504 of IPC and mounted a search to trace him.
