Crime branch busts online flesh trade being operated from Futala lake

Nagpur:Continuing its action against the illegal sex dens flourishing in cozy and plush corners in the city, the crime branch has busted an online flesh trade being operated from Futala lake and arrested a man hailing from Nandia in West Bengal. Cops have also rescued a woman who was called here from Surat. The accused has been identified as Shankar alias Sudheer Ghosh.

This is 18th such raid on sex racket in the last 16 days, sources claimed.

Ghosh was reportedly staying at Indra Uma Apartments in Shankar Nagar for the past 8 months. He has also left his number in one of the websites involved in the flesh trade. He was also linked to few customers directly. Fearing police action, Ghosh used to call his clients for ‘delivering girls’ at Futala lake.

It is learnt that the online customers used to call him and then he arrange for the girls from other cities and neighbouring states.

Meanwhile, police got a whiff of Ghosh’s activities. The crime branch then laid a trap and sent dummy customer to him. After settling the deal for Rs 1500 Ghosh called him at Futala lake to take the ‘delivery’. As he collected the money from dummy customer the cops nabbed him red-handed.

Ambazari police have registered a case against him under immoral trafficking prevention act.
