Courts grants ad interim anticipatory bail to Pankaj Pawar: Pallavi Nagulwar suicide case

Nagpur: District and session judge-5, A C Raut granted ad interim anticipatory bail to Pankaj Pawar in Pallavi Nagulwar case registered with Ambazari Police Station under section 306, 345 (a) of IPC against the present applicant and others.

According to the prosecution story Pallavi Nagulwar had committed suicide and her husband lodged a complaint with the Ambazari Police accusing Avinash Ghuse and others of abetting her to commit suicide. On the basis of name of Pankaj Pawar in the suicide note of Pallavi, a case was registered against him and others.

Counsel for the Appellant pointed out to court that the Appellant is a president of Lions Club and belongs to a respectable family. Further the counsel said he has been falsely implicated in the present matter. Only the applicant’s name is in the suicide note nut there is no allegation against the applicant and even no prima facie case is made out against the applicant. Further there is nothing is to be recovered from the applicant and all the allegations are against the accused No. 1 that is Avinash Ghuse and therefore there is no need of custodial interrogation of the appellant is required.

After considering same the Court granted ad interim anticipatory bail to the applicants and kept the matter for reply of prosecution on 22 March 2018.
