In yet another incident of cheating involving husband-wife duo, several women were robbed of their hard earned money to the tune of Rs 3,61,000. The couple lured the women in the name of higher interests on their funds and ‘bhisi.’
The accused couple Rekha Ashok Bhagat and Ashok Brahmanand Bhagat lured the complainant Varsha Ramesh Moon (40), resident of Bhimnagar, and other several women into higher interest trap. The accused couple collected Rs 3,61,000 in the name of ‘bhisi’ and other fund from Varsha and other women. However, the accused did not return a single rupee forget the higher interest.
Ajni API Dhobe, acting on the complaint filed by Varsha, registered an offence against the accused husband-wife duo under Sections 406, 420, 34 of the IPC and probing the matter further.
