Nagpur: Sensation prevailed in Nari area after the 20-year-old son of a sitting Shiv Sena corporator committed suicide by hanging from the ceiling of his house on Monday morning. The deceased has been identified as Prajakt Bandu Talvekar.
Police said that Prajakt committed suicide for a very trivial reason. He was a student of 12th standard and wanted his parents to purchase him an expensive sports bike. He had also told his friends that even if the bike is over 2 lakh, he is going to buy it. However, as he did not get a bike for quite some period, friends started teasing him and asking him sarcastically as to when was the new bike arriving. This used to cause a lot of uneasiness in Prajakt.
As a result, Prajakt started pressurising his father to immediately provide him with a new bike. His father, Bandu Talvekar, a sitting corporator of the city, had promised Prajakt of providing him with a new motorcycle but asked him to wait for 8 more days. His father assured him that he will get a bike in the new year. However, Prajakt was running out of patience.
On Monday morning, Prajakt again started pushing his parents for new bike, upon which he was told that the new year is hardly a week away and tried to pacify him. However, Prajakt was enraged to the hilt. In a fit of rage, he went to their house in Kapil Nagar in Nari and hanged himself to death. As he did not return for several hours, his parents started searching for him. There was no response on his mobile too. Finally, he was found hanging at their Kapil Nagar residence.
