Pachpaoli police appear to have solved the mystery that shrouded death of an elderly man whose body was found in Panchasheel Nagar on May 15.
According to police, the victim was identified as Ravindra Vitthal Charbhe (63), a resident of Lashkaribagh Circle No. 15/21. Body of Ravindra was found behind Buddha Vihar in Panchasheel Nagar on May 15. Pachpaoli police had then registered a case of accidental death and were probing the matter further.
The primary investigation revealed various injuries on the body with stabbing marks being prominent. However, only the post mortem report confirmed Ravindra was done to death. Armed with the post-mortem report, cops started murder angle in their probe. During the course of investigation, cops found that Ravindra was killed by three men namely Sindhu Charbhe, a resident of Lashkaribagh, Pritam Prakash Nagrale (38), a resident of Panchasheel Nagar and Gaurishankar Chavhan, also a resident of Lashkaribagh Circle No. 15/21. The murder, police said, was a fall out of tiff between the alleged killers and Ravindra over money issue.
The alleged murderers were waiting for an opportune time to settle the score with Ravindra and thus planned to eliminate him on May 15. Cops have booked the accused on the basis of a complaint lodged by Ravindra’s daughter Tina Charbhe and registered an offence under Sections 302, 201 and 34 of the IPC. A massive manhunt has been launched to arrest all the three alleged killers.
