Nagpur: Lakadganj police on Friday raided a brothel in Ganga-Jamuna (Red Light) area and rescued a 16-year old girl who was pushed into prostitution profession. Two pimps including a woman from Gwalior have been arrested in this connection.
Cops received secret information that the two pimps Sapna Phulsingh Chhadi (25), native of Reshampura, Motizeel, Gwalior and Prakash Dhanawat, resident of Ganga-Jamuna, confined the 16-year old girl and forcing the minor to indulge in flesh trade. Armed with the information, a team of policemen raided the place on Dargah Galli, Ganga-Jamuna area and rescued the girl. Cops also arrested the two dalals and sent the girl to remand home for protection.
Lakadganj PSI Nehare registered offences against the two accused Sapna Phulsingh Chhadi and Prakash Dhanawat under Sections 344, 366(A), 372, 373 of the IPC read with 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 of Prevention of Illegal Trafficking Act 1956 and placed them under arrest.
