Nagpur: Crime Branch of city police on Monday raided a lodge near Tukdoji Statue Square and busted a sex racket being run from the place. Two victimised girls were rescued and three accused persons, including Manager of the lodge, were arrested.

The sleuths of Crime Branch received a secret information that sex racket is being operated from Jaisai Lodge, situated near Tukdoji Square. Further, one of the accused Sanjaykumar Radheshyam Yadav (38) of Bajeria was indulging in luring the young girls with ‘handsome’ money and pushing them into flesh trade. Another accused Hemendra Shravan Paradkar (28) of Manewada Road used to take the trapped girls to Jaisai Lodge for customers. The Manager of the lodge Rajesh Prakash Jais (35) of Old Shukrawari used to make available the lodge rooms for prostitution. The Crime Branch sleuths, , acting on the tip off, raided the Jaisai Lodge and arrested the three accused. Two victimised girls were rescued by the raiding cops.

An offence was registered at Hudkeshwar Police Station and the three arrested accused were booked under Sections 370, 34 of IPC read with Sub-Sections 3, 4, 5, 7 of Prevention of Immoral Trafficking Act. The raiding cops seized Rs 3000 in cash, 4 mobile phones worth Rs 6,000 and two motorcycles valued at Rs 50,000.

The action was initiated under the guidance of Additional Commissioner of Police (Crime) Ranjan Kumar Sharma, DCP Deepali Masirkar, ACP Nilesh Raut and was carried out by Sr Police Inspector P C Sonavane, API Yogesh Chaudhary, Lady APIs Sonali Patil, Amita Jaipurkar and other police personnel.
