Commanders Conference –II of Maintenance Command concludes

Air Marshal J Chandra, Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Maintenance Command (MC), Indian Air Force, Nagpur presenting the IAF ‘Rajbhasha Bronze Shield’) trophy to Squadron Leader DV Singh Dy Command Education Officer, HQ MC for implementation of Hindi as an Official language for the year 2012 during award ceremony held on the concluding day of Annual Commanders Conference-II (2012-13) of HQ MC on 01 May 2013 at Nagpur.

Nagpur News: The three days annual Commanders Conference –II (2012-13) of Maintenance Command concluded here on Wednesday at Headquarters Maintenance Command, Vayusena Nagar, Nagpur.  The conference was attended by Commanders of Equipment Depots, Movement Control Units and Air Force Liaison Establishments.

In his concluding address, Air Marshal J Chandra PVSM AVSM VSM ADC, Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Maintenance Command, Indian Air Force, Nagpur expressed satisfaction on the performance of the various units and exhorted the Commanders for modernisation of Production means and sustenance of quality norms.  He reiterated that the Indian Air Force is going through a process of transformation and called upon the Commanders to gear up for the change to contribute effectively in the process of modernisation.

Air Marshal Chandra appreciated the hard work put in by the field units to keep the operational preparedness of the Indian Air Force at an optimum level.  He exhorted them to strive hard with dedication and also stressed upon the need for a proactive thrust on self reliance and modernisation to achieve the envisaged vision of the Indian Air Force.  The main focus of the conference was to share the experiences, analyse problems faced by field units and find solutions.

Centre for Leadership Training and Behavioural Sciences (C-LABS) also organised a workshop on 01 May 13 at Headquarters Maintenance Command, Nagpur.  The workshop was aimed at enhancing awareness of Organisational Behaviour and honing up the leadership skills.  The workshop was attended by all the Commanders and officers of Headquarters Maintenance Command and other units located at Nagpur.

Air Marshal Chandra presented trophies for the Best Equipment Depot, Best Liaison Establishment Unit and Best Movement Control Unit to 45 Equipment Depot.  Air Force Liaison Establishment (Korwa Division) and 31 Movement Control Unit respectively for their performance during the year 2012.  Air Marshal Chandra also presented the IAF ‘Rajbhasha Bronze Shield’ to Command Education Officer for implementation of Hindi as an Official language for the year 2012.
