CME on Obesity and Role of Yoga in womens health organised by IMS

Indian Menopause Society in association with Nagpur Obstetrics & Gynaecological Society organised a programme on “Obesity Management and Role of Yoga in women health” on 23rd May 2015 at Hotel Ashoka, Aath Rastha Chowk, Laxmi Nagar.

Dr.  Vidyadhar Desai from Mumbai delivered  a lecture on “Causes, management and ill effects of Obesity” which was followed by discussion .
Shri Rambhau Khandve Guruji from Yogabhyasi Mandal,  Ramnagar, Nagpur explained the role of Yoga in women health. Under his guidance Yog Shikshak demonstrated asanas beneficial for women health, e.g. Bramha Mudra, Shashankasan,  Samcharan & Ardhahalasan. He was felicitated at the hands of Dr. Indrajeet Mulik, President. NOGS, Dr. Ujjwala Deshmukh IMS Secretary along with Dr. Sandeep Nikhade,  & Dr. Swati Bhave.

Shri Rambhau Khandve Guruji & Dr. Ujjwala Deshmukh  explained the Asanas scientifically. All doctors appreciated the yogasanas effect on women Health, particularly to manage the stress during this phase of life after 40. Shri Rambhau Khandve Guruji also appealed   all doctors  to celebrate 21st June  declared by UN as “World Yoga Din“

Dr. Indrajeet Mulik, President. NOGS,  made introductory welcome speech. Dr. Pratibha Baheti, Dr. Ujjwala Kedare and Dr. Vishakha Jogdand were the chairpersons for the session. The session was largely attended by members of NOGS, IMS and general public in large numbers.
Programme was conducted by Dr. Rujuta Fuke while Dr. Swati Bhave Joint Secretary IMS proposed vote of thanks.  Dr. Sandeep Nikhade made concluding remarks.
