CM touched by farmer’s gesture who drops father’s 13th day ritual to donate for relief fund

cm-farmerNagpur: Peasants are mostly known for their pain and agony in the backdrop of severe agrarian crisis that has become a bane for them for quite some years. But this act of a farmer Gajanan Sarode from Matakhed village in Jalgaon taluka of Buldhana district is something unusual, and now has become one of the finest examples of generosity. His gesture of humanity is acknowledged by none other than State’s Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis who circulated this through Whatsapp messenger.

Gajanan Sarode has been grieving from the sad demise of his father Jagdeorao but he made a conscious effort to limit the rituals and dropped the deceased’s 13th day ritual. He instead donated Rs 33,100 towards Chief Minister’s Relief Fund.

Sharing his gesture of kindness on WhatsApp, Fadnavis expressed his condolences for the departed soul. He also showered words of appreciation for the exemplary move by Sarode who has sent the loud and clear that humanity should be above all.

Fadnavis also took Sarode’s gesture as his faith towards state government. He said that Sarode has reaffirmed that the State government is working towards the betterment of farmers.
