Nagpur: HotelKey the start up we had written about, the company that has the potential to take Hospitality business by storm, launched its Nagpur office and operations yesterday with orientation for employees followed by unveiling of plans in front of a select audience at Hotel Centre Point last evening.
Speaking on the ocassion, Founder President Aditya Thyagarajan said he hope that by next year this time, the strength of his employees would have gone up exponentially and they would be ready for a soft launch of operations in India.
Right now they are going to be concentrating on developing business in USA for which the product development and back end work will be done in Nagpur. HotelKey, has the ambitious vision of introducing apps that will allow a hotel to be run with an easy to manage app on an i pad or an android phone.
“The technology is Cloud based so heavy computers and hardware will not be needed. A $40 ipad or a basic android / smart phone should do the work. Even an apple wrist watch will be able to get you into your hotel room!” Explained Aditya.
Former Union Minister Vilas Muttemwar congratulated Aditya on his decision to start his India office in Nagpur emphasizing that Nagpur with all its Engineering colleges could produce the best technical brains which could be employed to deliver desired results.
“We had envisaged MIHAN for this very purpose. We look forward to more entrepreneurs like Aditya coming to Nagpur to set up offices.”
Satish Chaturvedi, a leading Congress leader of Maharashtra who owns seven Engg colleges in Nagpur was also present at the function. As was former Guardian Minister Nitin Raut.
Other dignitaries present were Gitesh Muttemwar, Vishal Muttemwar, VED President Mr. Parekh, Tie President Mr. Ramakrishna, Rahul Dixit, Dr. Shrikant Mukewar and many friends and colleagues of Aditya from USA.
