Civic body member Aslam Khan (Mulla) to contest from Nagpur, Wardha constituencies in coming LS polls 2014

Indian Muslim League, Vidarbha division has declared its decision to field 13 candidates from Maharashtra.

It will field its candidates from Nagpur, Wardha, Chandrapur, Buldhana, Akola, South Mumbai, Bhandara-Gondia, Ramtek, Nanded,Nasik, Dhule,Malegaon and Amaravati. The name of civic body member from Nagpur zone 4, Aslam Khan (Mulla) has been declared for Nagpur and Wardha constituencies. Aslam Khan (Mulla) has charged other political parties with betrayal of Muslims and has made appeal that Muslims will have to take initiative on their own if they want to progress. Naming BJP and Congress for these malpractices, he said these parties always play vote bank politics and Muslims are deprived of their rights.

He said that Muslims being in minority should be included for reservation. He said it will be party’s top priority to give Muslims their right of reservation and other rights. He also made mention of development of Nagpur city. He said he will fight on his own and will not support any party. But in the same breath he claimed that he will not hesitate to join hands with party which is in the interest of Nagpurians and Muslims.

Haji Asad Khan from Chandrapur, Bilal Memon from Buldhana, Ismail Banatwala from Malegaon,Ajimuddin Sheikh from Nashik, Sunil Khadse from Ramtek, Gulam Ashrafi from Bhandara-Gondia are the other candidates party is going to field.

The names of remaining candidates will be given on March 14, was the information given at a press conference.
