The recent comments of Delhi Shahi Imam, Syed Ahmed Bukhari, on Prime Minister Narendra Modi drew severe a flak from the BJP Minority Cell. Mohsin Khan, General Secretary of Maharashtra Minority Cell, while briefing a press conference on Thursday, November 6 , condemned the statement  of Shahi Imam of Jama Masjid on Modi.

Khan also expressed displeasure over Bukhari’s gesture of inviting Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif for the investiture ceremony of his 19-year-old Shaban Bukhari, who would be announced the successor of the present Imam, Syed Ahmed Bukhari, at a ceremony at Delhi’s Jama Masjid on November 22. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is missing from the list of guests being invited for the investiture ceremony.

He further added that not inviting PM Modi is not the issue, but inviting the PM of Pakistan is an insult to the nation.

Those prominently present during the press release include State Secretary Jamal Siddique, Nagpur BJP City Secretary Abdul Quadir, Aafi Khan, Adv Ashfaque Sheikh, Imran Wajid, Dharmendra Ahir, Shoeb Jalil, Majhar Khan, Saquib Hussain and others.
