Nagpur: Bajaj Nagar police have arrested a a 32-year-old doctor working at a famous Central India Institute Of Medical Science (CIIMS) hospital, for sexually exploiting a 27-year-old nurse who also works at CIIMS. The accused doctor identified as Dr.Shekhar Tayde was also blackmailing the nurse with her video clips recorded on his mobile phone at his Lokmanya Nagar house in Hingna on April 27.
The survivor claimed Tayde, who was already married, threatened to make the videos viral on social sites as he wanted to continue the illicit relationship. Bajaj Nagar police registered a case of rape and produced him before court which remanded him to PCR till June 25. Cops have seized his mobile too.
The survivor, who stayed here in a hostel, worked in the same hospital and was also pursuing a nursing course. She claimed that she came in contact with Tayde after joining the hospital earlier this year. Tayde had not revealed his marriage status and lured the survivor with fake promises.
Cops said Tayde took her to a religious place, spiked her cold drink which left her unconscious. Later, she requested him to drop her at the hostel but he took her to his place and forced himself upon her. He also videographed the entire episode.
Police said that using the clips, Tayde blackmailed and continued to exploit the survivor. She disengaged from the relationship on learning that Tayde was married and got engaged too.
