Chhattisgarh police nab Nagpur trader dealing in “poisonous’ cooking oil

NAGPUR News: The Chhattisgarh police in a swift action arrested an oil trader dealing in adulterated and very very bad quality cooking soyabean oil in Nagpur city. The oil could be called “poisonous” if the quality of the oil is tested in an authorized laboratory. The Nagpur police were found in deep slumber as far as the dealing of adulterated and unusable soyabean oil is concerned. A Lakadganj Police Sub Inspector was allegedly neglecting the trade for obvious reasons, it is learnt. The Chhattisgarh police have taken the said trader to Rajnandgaon on transit custody remand.

According to reliable sources, the Chhattisgarh police have taken the action on the Maskasath-based trader. The action was taken after the police came to know that the arrested trader had ordered the low quality oil from a Rajnandgaon-based trader one Sattar Bhai. A Matador carrying the said oil was seized by the Chhattisgarh police. Shockingly, the tins carrying the oil were found labeled of a famous company ‘Fortune’ dealing in cooking oil.

Chhattisgarh police arrested Sattar Bhai who spilled the beans and named the Nagpur trader. On the basis of Sattar Bhai’s information the Chhattisgarh police arrested the Nagpur trader. The trader has confessed the crime, it is learnt. Now, the police are investigating to whom the trader has supplied the “poisonous” oil so that the oil can be seized and action initiated against the traders possessing the said oil.
