Nagpur: In a clear intention of cheating, a man first took Rs 7,50,000 on credit from another man and then, in return, issued two cheques that bounced. The accused has now been booked by Sadar police.
According to police, the accused Iqbal Rashid Diwan (39), resident of New Shukrawari, behind Ram Cooler, Nagpur, by virtue of an agreement took Rs 7,50,000 on credit from Rashid Amad Quereshi (54), resident of Plot No. 10, Mansarovar Colony, Nagpur and agreed to return the amount within a year. Iqbal issued two cheques to Rashid, one amounting to Rs 4,00,000 of Bank of Bikaner and another cheque of Rs 3,50,000 of Bank of Jaipur.
