  • Commerce topper in CBSE HSC examinations 

While speaking exclusively with Nagpur Today, topper in Commerce in Class 12 examinations of CBSE Yash Kotecha, said that he would like to attribute his success to his parents, all the faculties of his school and all those who supported him while pursuing his studies. Yash told Nagpur Today that he studied for two to three hours daily at home. He claimed that he never had any tuition nor went to any coaching classes.

He was very clear in his ambition in life and said that I want to become a Chartered Accountant. About pursuing any career like Company Secretary, he said that he will think about that in future.

Yash said that he used to regularly play Cricket, watch TV and fool around with friends as relaxation and exercise to his body.

In his message to other students, he said that while studying give your 100 % and while playing give it your 100%. Enjoying both studying as well as playing that way, one can remain healthy too.

Have faith in yourself, says Charu Lavalia

  • Humanities topper in CBSE HSC examinations 

While speaking exclusively with Nagpur Today, topper in Humanities in HSC examinations (CBSE), Charu Lavalia, said that she wants to attribute her success to her elder sister Rukma Lavalia and her parents. Charu said that her elder sister Rukma really worked hard on her. Charu said that regular studies for two to three hours every day was more than enough for her to succeed. However, she added that the course for CBSE Class 12 is very vast and one has to keep in touch with the subjects regularly. One cannot just read it or learn it once and forget about it. She added that one has to be in regular touch with every topic in every subject the whole year.

Charu said that she does pursue her hobbies like listening to music and drawing. She added that listening to music during the breaks gives her some fresh air from the monotonous studies. In her message to students who will be appearing in the HSC examinations next year, she said one should have faith in yourself. There is no alternative to hard work and that anybody can achieve what they aspire to, if they set their hearts on it.

  • Science topper in CBSE HSC examinations 

While speaking exclusively with Nagpur Today, topper in Science in HSC examinations (CBSE), Sashank Shivanand the topper from Science stream said that the feeling has not yet settled in. My parent’s sacrifice and my hard work has born fruits. Topping the city is huge surprise for me, though I was expecting to top the school. My mother who is teacher in my school is the only one who has been a huge inspiration and motivation for me. I dedicate my success to my mother and my teachers, said Sashank Shivanand. While talking to Nagpur Today, Sashank said that he wants to pursue a career in Mechanical Engineering from any one of the IIT’s in the country. Sashank’s twin sister Sneha Sivanand (from Centre Point School) has also scored 95 percent. Sashank has also attributed his success to the efforts of all his teachers. Sashank’s mother Mani Sivanand is a Physics teacher in Centre Point School. His father Sivanand MTS, is a Scientific Assistant with Indian Meteorological Department.

While speaking exclusively with Nagpur Today, the joint topper in Commerce in Class 12 examinations of CBSE Anushka Gupta, said that he would like to attribute her success to his parents. Anushka told Nagpur Today that she studied for four to five hours daily at home. She claimed that she never expected to top the examinations.
She wants to become a Chartered Accountant.
