Cash, important papers, Income Tax cheques stolen from parked car in busy Sitabuldi area

Nagpur: A parked car was targeted by some unidentified burglars and the owner was relieved of cash, important documents and Income Tax cheques collectively valued at Rs 1,85,000 in busy Sitabuldi area on Friday.

According to police, the victim, Manohar Kisanji Dange (49), native of Desaiganj, District Gadchiroli, had gone to a mobile repairing shop near Surti Farsan on Abhyankar Road, Sitabuldi, Nagpur around6.45 pm on Friday. Manohar had parked his car nearby. While Manohar was busy in the mobile shop, some unidentified burglar(s) opened the rear door of the car and took away cash of Rs 75,000, important documents and Income Tax Return cheques collectively valued at Rs 1,85,000. The theft came to notice when Manohar returned to his car and found the booty missing. He immediately lodged a complaint with nearby Sitabuldi Police Station in this connection.

Sitabuldi PSI Pawar booked the unidentified burglar(s) under Section 379 of the IPC and searching the accused.
