Nagpur Branch of WIRC of ICAI organized Full Day Seminar on Direct Taxes at Hotel Pride, Nagpur wherein CA. J.S. Uberoi, Senior Chartered Accountant from City, speaking as a Chief Guest said that CAs role is very important in Widening of Tax base. They have to perform their duties continuously and with full dedication. “If other professionals fails there can be problem to one or some people, but if CAs fails to perform, entire economy may fail hence importance of CAs are tremendous. He praised the branch for organizing this seminar where topics of prime importance are kept and deliberations will be helpful to the members at large.

In the inaugural session Chairman of Nagpur Branch CA. Kirti Agrawal in her welcome address said that timely compliance with direct tax provisions has gained prominence with the department going online. We as consultants are required to be abreast about latest pronouncements and judicial rulings to provide informed & appropriate opinion to our clients. Important issues under Taxation of Real Estate Transactions, etc. needs focused approach of professionals. This seminar is organized in same line to abreast our members on such important topics. He informed the members over forth coming events of the branch.

In the technical session CA. Shardul Shah, Mumbai from Mumbai deliberated on Recent Development in Search & Survey, CA. Harish Motiwala, Mumbai eminent faculty from Mumbai deliberated on Income Disclosure Norms. In the second technical session CA. Sudha Bhushan, Mumbai spoke on Domestic Transfer Pricing and CA. Ketan Mehta, Mumbai spoke on Capital Gains & Issues in Real Estate Transactions All the speakers interacted with members and resolved their queries effectively.

CA. Umang Agrawal, Treasurer coordinated the proceeding and CA Sandeep Jotwani, Secretary proposed formal vote of thanks.
