Burglars target two houses, relieve owners of bounty worth Rs 3,38,900 in separate incidents

Nagpur News: In two house-breaking incidents, burglars swept away a collective booty worth Rs 3,38,900.

In the first incident, Vijay Shyamraoji Vairagade (37), resident of Lane No. 3, near Savitribai School, Garoba Maidan, had locked his house and went to stay at father’s residence in Saraipeth.  Taking advantage of the situation, a burglar or burglars broke open the lock at about 12-01-30 in the intervening night of August 14-15 and entered into his house. Once inside the burglar (s) cleaned the house by grabbing gold ornaments and a cash of Rs 11,000 and decamped. The theft came to notice in the morning when Vijay returned home. A shocked Vijay lodged a complaint with Lakadganj Police Station. The Lakadganj PSI Darve booked the unidentified thieve (s) under Sections 454, 457, 380 of the IPC and invstigating the matter further.

In the second incident of house-breaking, a thieve (s) targeted a man’s residence when he was sleeping after locking the doors.

According to police, the theft occurred between 0300 and 0900 of August 15. The victim Irshad Ahmed Khan Sajjad Khan (27), a resident of Plot No. 7, Jaffer Nagar, locked all the doors of his house and went to sleep. In the meanwhile, the thieve (s) broke open the latch of the door and decamped with gold ornaments, two mobiles and a cash of Rs 11,900 collectively worth Rs . 1,11,900.

The Gittikhadan Police Station PSI Munde booked the unidentified thieve (s) under Sections 454, 457, 380 of the IPC after Irshad Ahmed Khan filed a complaint in this connection.
