Nagpur: A brother-sister duo was attacked with sharp-edged weapons by their two relatives over property dispute. The sister received serious head injuries and is being treated at Government Medical College and Hospital. The incident took place in Nandanvan jurisdiction on Sunday evening.
According to police sources, around 4 pm on Sunday, the accused Ankit Deshmukh and ‘Tadipar’ alias Nilesh Patel picked quarrel with their relatives, Kashiram alias Munna Rupchand Bhure (42) and his sister Ravantibai Rupchand Bhure (50), both residents of Plot No. 31, Nageshwar Nagar, Nandanvan, over property. During the wordy duel, the accused abused and attacked Kashiram with sharp-edged weapons. Seeing her brother in grave danger, Ravantibai tried to save him. The accused also attacked her with the weapons and inflicted serious injury on her head. Later both the accused fled the spot. A profusely bleeding Ravantibai was taken to GMCH where she is being treated for her head injury.
Nandanvan Woman PSI Sonone has booked the two accused under Sections 326, 323, 504, 34 of the IPC and searching for them.
