Nagpur: A brawl between two employees over the issue of duty led to murderous attack on a 50-year old man in Jaripatka area on Thursday. The unidentified accused has been booked under attempt to murder charge.
According to police, the 50-year old victim, Chandrabhan Shende, resident of Plot No. 266, Kushinagar, was carrying out his duty at a Sugat Nagar-based Water Tank. At the same time, another employee working with Chandrabhan resorted to a quarrel with him over the issue of duty. The brawl took an ugly turn when the unidentified accused employee suddenly attacked Chandrabhan with fists and kicks and later smashed his head on a wall with an intention to kill him. The bleeding Chandrabhan was rushed to Government Medical College and Hospital where he is battling for life.
Jaripatka PSI Raut, acting on a complaint filed by Maya Chandrabhan Shende, has booked the unidentified accused employee under Section 307 of the IPC and probing the matter further.
