Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor are coming together for the first time in Brahmastra. Helmed by Ayan Mukerji of Wake Up Sid and Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani fame, the two actors have wrapped up the first schedule of the sci-fi drama in Bulgaria by March.

While the film has a long time to go before it’s release, it has managed to create a buzz ever since reports of Alia and Ranbir being more than good friends, started doing the rounds. Infact, when Alia celebrated her 25th birthday in Bulgaria, she was joined in by Ranbir’s mother Neetu Kapoor although Ranbir himself was missing from the party.

Now during a recent interview with Media, Alia has opened up on how working with Ranbir is a dream come true for her. “I’ve always wanted to work with Ranbir. In fact, I was looking forward to the day I’d get to shoot with him because I’ve been fascinated by the way he steps into his characters. When we filmed together, it was exactly the way I had imagined it. He’s not only a fabulous actor but also a fabulous human being. It really doesn’t get better than a film set with Ayan and Ranbir on it.”, she said.

The second schedule of the mega-budget film is under preparation. “It was a huge schedule. But when you are working with friends and family it never feels like too much work. Brahmastra is a first-of-its-kind for Hindi cinema. It’s our most ambitious film to date and I’m curious to see how people respond to this kind of content,” she added.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Alia will next be seen in Meghna Gulzar’s Raazi, slated to release on 11 May, 2018. She has also wrapped up Zoya Akhtar’s Gully Boy alongside Ranveer Singh and is currently busy shooting for Karan Johar’s multi-starrer project Kalank.
