Nagpur: Nandanvan police have launched a search to nab burglars who had struck at a trader’s house and decamped with Rs 6.85 lakh gold and Rs 60,000 cash on Thursday evening.
The businessman, Narayn Kalyani, resident of Deshpande Layout, Nandanvan, locked his home on Thursday evening and went for shopping along with family. In the meantime, thieves gained entry into Kalyani’s house by breaking the lock open. The miscreants laid their hands on gold ornaments worth Rs 6.85 lakh and Rs 60,000 cash. It is learnt that the burglars had arrived at the spot in a car. A CCTV camera installed at a house near Kalyani’s residence captured the car.
The Nandanvan cops are scanning the footage of the CCTV camera for a breakthrough in the theft.
