Rahul Bajaj, a blind student from Dr. Ambedkar College of Law, Nagpur has again scripted history by securing the first position in Nagpur University in his 2nd semester B.A.LL.B exams with 80% marks and a GPA of 9.33.
Rahul has consistently defied all odds by being a topper in his SSC exams with 97% marks, HSC exams with 95% marks in the commerce stream and now in his law exams. He has also received many prestigious awards and scholarships for his rich accomplishments like the Dhirubhai Ambani Scholarship, the National Association of the Blind’s Student of the Year Award, etc. Blind since birth, Rahul studies with the help of a screen reader application on his computer which reads out the text to him and home tutors.
After finding out his result, an elated Rahul said, “I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to my family, friends and professors for believing in me even when I didn’t believe in myself.”
Rahul intends to become a corporate lawyer and hopes that his perseverance and determination will help him to continue overcoming
all impediments.
