Nagpur: The Nagpur city unit of the BJP Mahila Morcha on Tuesday strongly condemned the use of highly objectionable and derogatory language by singer Anjali Bharti against Amruta Fadnavis during a public programme held in Bhandara. Under the guidance of BJP City President Dayashankar Tiwari, a delegation of the BJP Mahila Morcha met Police Commissioner Ravinder Kumar Singal and submitted a memorandum demanding strict action in the matter.

The delegation, led by City President of BJP Mahila Morcha Divya Dhurde, urged the police to immediately register an offence against Anjali Bharti and arrest her. Speaking on the occasion, Dhurde said that making such indecent remarks about a woman from a public platform is against Maharashtra’s cultural values and traditions.
