Nagpur News: The Nagpur unit of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) went ecstatic and upbeat over the nomination of Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi as Prime Ministerial candidate for the 2014 Lok Sabha elections. Thousands of workers and leaders celebrated the moment by bursting crackers, dancing to the beats of “Dhol Nagado” with party flag in hands at the City BJP Party Office near Tilak Statue, Mahal Nagpur.
The top BJP leaders including Rajya Sabha Member Ajay Sancheti, former MP Banwarilal Purohit, City BJP President Krishna Khopde, MLAs Sudhakar Deshmukh, Vikas Kumbhare, Mayor Anil Sole, State Spokesman Girish Vyas and thousands of workers went delirious as soon as the news about anointment Narendra Modi’s candidature for Prime Ministership reached the Party Office at about 6 pm. The atmosphere turned into a massive celebration with bursting of crackers, dancing to the vibrating beats of “Dhol Nagada”, embracing each other and, even the women workers and leaders could not resist themselves and danced freely and happily. The slogans “Desh Ka Pradhan Mantri Kaisa Ho, Narendra Modi Jaisa Ho” rent the air with workers displaying and holding high Modi’s posters.
Others BJP leaders who participated in the celebrations include State Secretary Jamal Sidique, former MLA Ashok Mankar, State Organising Secretary Ravindra Bhusari, Deputy Mayor Jaitunnabi Patel, Carporators Prabhakar Yevale, Sudhakar Kohale, Sandip Joshi, and hundreds of workers.
