Nagpur: The City Unit of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on October 2 celebrated Mahatma Gandhi’s birth anniversary at Variety Square. The party linked the ‘Beti Bachao’ Campaign to the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi.
The Women’s Wing of the party organized a grand programme and stressed upon ‘Beti Bachao Beti Padhao’ concept launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The Women’s Wing of BJP vowed to make the concept a grand success.
A grand rally too was taken out on the message of ‘Beti Bachao Beti Padhao.’ Top leaders of BJP including Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, party’s Maharashtra In-Charge Saroj Pandey, Convener of Beti Bachao Campaign Rajendra Fadke, and others were present on the occasion. The leaders appealed people to join Swachha Bharat Abhiyan on the occasion of Mahatma Gandhi Jayanti and also ‘Beti Bachao’ Campaign.
The programme was also attended by a large number of party workers and school students.
