Mahatma Gandhi, Lal Bahadur Shastri paid glowing tributes on their birth anniversaries

Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi and former Prime Minister late Lal Bahadur Shastri were paid glowing tributes by Nagpur Municipal Corporation on their birth anniversaries that fall on October 2. The Mayor Pravin Datke, Deputy Mayor Munna Pokulwar and Municipal Commissioner Shravan Hardikar visited Variety Square and paid floral tributes to statue of Mahatma Gandhi.

Others who paid tributes to Mahatma Gandhi include Chairman of Health Committee Devendra Meher, Additional Commissioner Nayana Gunde, Additional Deputy Commissioner Jayant Dandegaonkar, Municipal Secretary Harish Dubey, former Deputy Mayor Krushnarao Parteki, Garden Superintendent Sudhir Mate, Assistant Superintendent Rajan Kale, and others.

Similarly, Deputy Mayor Munna Pokulwar visited Sadar Square, Chitar Oli, Ganjipeth, Satranjipura, Juni Shukrawari and garlanded statues of Mahatma Gandhi to pay tributes on behalf of the city.

Lal Bahadur Shastri:

The Mayor Pravin Datke, Deputy Mayor Munna Pokulwar, Municipal Commissioner Shravan Hardikar, Chairman of Health Committee Devendra Meher, Additional Commissioner Nayana Gunde, Additional Deputy Commissioner Jayant Dandegaonkar visited Laxmi Bhavan Square in Gokulpeth and paid rich tributes to former Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri by garlanding his statue.

On the occasion, Municipal Secretary Harish Dubey, Garden Superintendent Sudhir Mate, Amar Ghumale and others were present.
