Big Loot:Rs 20 lakh swept from car in Ganeshpeth,Nagpur

Nagpur News: In a major incident of broad day light robbery at Ganeshpeth in Nagpur, two unidentified youth smashed the window glass of a parked car and swept away with Rs 20 lakh cash kept inside the vehicle on Thursday. The car belongs to a trader Sanjay Singh.

Kotwali ACP M D Pawar informed Nagpur Today that Sanjay Singh was approaching towards his office in his Innova sedan. He was also carrying cash of Rs 20 lakh which he has withdrawn from Union Bank’s branch in Manewada area. Midway, he was intervened by two youth riding a bike. The boys told Sanjay that there was an oil leak in his car but he did not pay any heed to them and shoved them off.

He reached the office and went in after parking his car. To his utmost shock, as he returned he found the glass of left side window of his car was broken and the bag containing cash was missing.

Sanjay rushed to the police station and reported the matter. No sooner he complained about the incident than the police along with some crime branch officials rushed to the spot. Finger print experts and dog squad was also called at the place.

Police have launched a manhunt. Till now there is no trace of the accused.
