Nagpur News: The U-14 Girls Badminton team of Bhavan’s Bhagwandas Purohit Vidya Mandir , Civil Lines , Nagpur have brought laurels and honour for their alma mater by winning the 1st place against 8 divisions of the Maharashtra State-Pune , Mumbai, Nagpur, Kolhapur , Latur, Nasik , Aurangabad and Amravati in the DSO State Level Tournament held at Nanded from 26th to 28th November,2012. The team includes Mugdha Agrey, Pallavi Pitale, Rashi Lambe, Vannishika Agrawal and Pavitra Somani.
The U-17 boys team bagged the first position. The team comprises of Vaibhav Bisne ,Omkar Joshi, Vinay Makode, Pratik Rathi and Amandeep Singh Saini. The girls in the U-17 category has clinched the 2nd position. The team includes Shikha Batra , Abhishree Kabra , Purva Rathi , Sakshi Taori and Siri Vallabhaneni.
All the winners have been awarded with certificates.
The Principal Smt.Anju Bhutani, the teacher incharge Smt. Anita Devdas and Mr. Chandra Mohan Singh, Staff and students congratulated the students on their sterling performance.
