Bawankule assures overall development of Nagpur, job opportunities

The Guardian Minister hoisted the tricolor at the premises of Divisional Commissioner’s Office to mark celebration of Independence Day in the Second Capital City of  Maharashtra, Nagpur.

Nagpur: Patriotic fervour and colourful events marked the celebration of Independence Day in the Second Capital City of Nagpur. Guardian Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule hoisted the tricolor as the chief guest at the main function held at the sprawling premises of Divisional Commissioner’s Office.
The Divisional Commissioner Anoop Kumar, Zilla Parishad President Neesha Savarkar, Commissioner of Police S P Yadav, District Collector Sachin Kurve, MLC Jogendra Kawade, NIT Chairman Dr Deepak Mhaisekar, Municipal Commissioner Shravan Hardikar, ZP CEO Kadambari Bhagat, freedom fighters, and citizens were present in large number on the occasion.

Extending the Independence Day greetings to citizens, Bawankule said that the Government is committed to ensure overall development of Nagpur District along with Vidarbha with the active cooperation of administration and people’s representatives. “The goal of industrial development with the help of latest advent of information and technology will be achieved. Skill development and creating employment opportunities would be the utmost priority. All sections of society should actively participate and cooperate in the development process,” Bawankule stressed.
“I salute the brave freedom fighters and soldiers who sacrificed their lives for the freedom of the country. The Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis have initiated progressive steps since the past two years and implemented a host of schemes for development in urban as well as rural areas. Make in Maharashtra concept is being implemented successfully for achieving industrial development,” the Guardian Minister said.
“The State Government has handsomely allotted funds for boosting social, cultural activities and for tourism sector. Providing clean and pure drinking water to each and every village is avowed goal of the Government. The rapidly growing Koradi town will soon see setting up of a Shilpagram by SCZCC. This 50-acre Shilpagram will showcase the State culture, folk art, along with workshop for kids and a slew of other facilities,” Bawankule said while highlighting the Fadnavis Government’s development initiatives.

The minister further said that all the services in Gram Panchayats of Khandala in Mouda Taluka, Khasala in Kamptee, Dabha in Tirodi Hingna and Vihirgaon in Nagpur Rural would go online in tune with the concept of Smart Village on the lines of Smart Cities.
“Nagpur’s Majhi Metro would be operational by March 2018. Work in North-South Corridor from Khapri to Sitabuldi phase is progressing well,” Bawankule said.
He said that all the nationalized and private banks in Nagpur District have achieved 100 percent target of disbursing kharip crop loans of Rs 769.94 crore for overall development of farmers. In all 82551 account holders were disbursed of the loans. Further, each and every village will be provided with fogging machines for curbing the mosquito menace. A fund of Rs 5 crore would be made available from the District Planning Committee for the purpose, Bawankule said.

The State Government had announced providing of concessional power to industries in Vidarbha and Marathwada. The Cabinet approved the move. Subsequently, power is being supplied to industries at concessional rate ranging from 50-75 paise per unit.
The Guardian Minister also felicitated the scholarship holders of Rashtriya Pradnya Shodh Examination (2014-15).
