Nagpur: The students of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Research and Training Institute (BARTI) who had been awaiting their stipend for several months after conclusion of their three month session have, finally, been granted the same.
After Nagpur Today reported the news, it had come into the limelight and the students, after three months have been issued their stipend which has been credited in their respective bank accounts.
The students have expressed gratitude towards Nagpur Today and thanked for bringing the matter to a visible platform. BARTI conducts MPSC, Banking, LIC and Railway examinations for students of Scheduled Caste. Under the same, the students are required to appear for examinations at various centres and the passed candidates are selected for special training classes and are ensured of stipends. In Nagpur, the exam was conducted at two centres. Most of the classes are conducted in Boddha Vihar.
For a training period of three months, the filtered candidates are provided with a stipend of three thousand per month along with books worth two thousand to each student. However, it was being dodged for a long time till Nagpur Today took the initiative and published the story. After the officials were contacted, the matter was escalated and candidates were issued the stipend.
