Bajaj Group presents Rs 5 crore cheque for construction of RTMNU’s administrative building

Nagpur: For the construction of a big administrative building of Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University at Ambazari, Bajaj group has given Rs 5 crore. At a informal function held in premises where the building is coming up Bajaj Finance Director and Chairman of Education Society, Wardha Sanjay Bhargava handed over the cheque of Rs 5 crore on behalf of Bajaj group to RTMNU Vice -Chancellor Siddarth Vinayak Kane.

The administrative building which is to be 4 storeyed is under construction. This building will be named as Jamunnalal Bajaj Administrative premises. The estimated cost of the building is Rs 30 crore. Out of this Bajaj Gorup of Industries will give 50 pre cent CSR fund. The Bajaj group had given Rs 50 lakh as first instalment.

Speaking on the occasion Sanjay Bhargava said that the Bajaj group is committed to education and has a special attraction for education and so these funds have been offered to Nagpur University. Now this work will gain momentun. He further said that 100 school have been constructed in Pune so that the economically weaker students should not be deprived of education. The main aim of Bajaj group is to develop the capacity of poor students.

Expressing his views Vice-Chancellor Siddarth Vinayak Kane said that the administrative building has been planned in such way that it is near the campus departments. This building is well equipped with all facilities. In history the Bajaj group’s name will be written in golden letters, Kane said.

Prominent among those present were Registrar Puranchandra Meshram, Finance and Accounts Officer Raju Hiwase, Examination and Evaluation Department Director Niraj Khati, Deputy Registrar Pradeep Baniwale and other officials.
