Nagpur: Azad Krida Mandal pipped Sky Security 5-4 in penalty shootout to win Kusum Sahare Memorial Football (barefooted) Tournament that was organised by Aai Kusum Sahare Foundation at Reshimbagh ground on Sunday.
Both the teams failed to score during the regulation time. In penalty shootout, Sameer Anjum, Shahrukh Anjum, Sunny, Shahnwaz Sheikh and Abhilash Sande scored the goals for winners. For Sky Securities, Mohammad Iftikhar, Shahid Ansari, Md. Riyaz and Asif Ali netted the goals.
RBD achieved the third place defeating Young warriors 5-4 in penalty shootout. Union transport minister Nitin Gadkari was the chief guest of prize distribution function. Former minister Sulekha Kumbhare, MLAS Vikas Kumbhare and Sudhakar Kohale, former MLA Mohan Mate, Sunil Nandrkar, Aai Foundation president Nagesh Sahare, NDAA secretary Sharad Suryavanshi, Baban Patil, Pradip Wadibhasme, Tushar Nandgawli, Bhojraj Bante, Prashant Kukde and others were present on the occaison.
The winners walked away with Rs 45,000 cash, trophy and medals. The runners-up got rs 31,000 and trophy.
