Ekta and Nushrat have earlier worked together but this will be Ayushman’s first time working with the successful director Ekta. According to a report by Hindustan Times, Nushrat confirmed the same and said, “After working with Ekta in the past, this is a homecoming of sorts for me. I am excited to work with Ayushmann for this comedy entertainer. Interestingly, this year has been favourable for strong content-driven films; and this film will, hopefully, continue this tide”.
The film is said to go on floors in the first week of December. The dates are yet to be confirmed by the makers.
Nushrat will also be working with Newton starrer Rajkummar Rao in Hansal Mehta’s Turram Khan. Rajkummar, on the other hand, has already commenced shooting for the film in Gugugram last week. Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety was also a great hit and apart from Nushrat, the film also starred Kartik Aaryan and Sunny Singh in lead roles.
Ayushmann’s Badhaai Ho is still doing great at the Box Office and has emerged as a massive hit overseas. The numbers of the film are considered to be higher than star-studded films that opened in 2018. The comedy-drama film was directed by Amit Ravindernath Sharma, produced by Vineet Jain, Hemant Bhandari and Aleya Sen under the banner of Junglee Pictures and Chrome Pictures, and was written by Shantanu Srivastava and Akshat Ghildial. The songs were composed by Tanishk Bagchi, Rochak Kohli and JAM8. The lyrics were written by Vayu, Kumaar and MellowD.
