Argument over ‘staring’ costs youth his life in Gaddigodam

Nagpur: An argument triggered over mere ‘staring’, leads to brutal murder of a youth in Gaddigodam under Sadar Police Station here, between the intervening night of Monday and Tuesday. Cops have booked two brothers Jay and Bhushan Somkuwar in this connection and placed them under arrest.

The deceased has been identified as Aniket Tambe.

According to police sources, Aniket along with his friends had gone to Gaddigodam to drink soft drinks late Monday night. During the same, Aniket and his friends had picked up an argument with accused Bhushan and Jay Somkuwar over mere staring.

Though, the matter was cleared after a petty world duel; Aniket along with his friends again visited the Gaddigodam over the same issue post midnight.

After sighting, Somkuwar brothers, Aniket and his friends reportedly picked up an argument. In the fit of rage, the accused Jay then stabbed Aniket causing him deep injuries.

Profosly bleeding Aniket collapsed on the ground, while accused Somkuwar brothers fled the spot. Aniket was rushed to VIMS Hospital; however, doctors pronounced him dead.

Following the incident, the squad of Sadar Police launched the manhunt of the accused Somkuwar brothers. Based on the location traced by their mobile phones, the duo was later arrested from Mankapur.
