IMG_20140505_131504Nagpur News : With three murders shocking Nagpurians on Sunday, another murder left the cops baffled with the number of killings taking place in the second capital. A mere 19-year-old boy was brutally killed by slashing his throat while his face was smashed with a boulder in an old ruined building at the TB Ward area. The mutilated body was discovered early Monday morning. Imambada police swung into action as soon as the news was disclosed to them.

The teenager, who has been identified as Rohit Phule (19), was a resident of Imambada. On Monday at around 9.30 am, Imambada police received a call about a dead body being located near the Servant Quarter at TB Ward. PSI Pramod Dongre and his team reached the spot after performing panchanama of the body, it was sent to Government Medical College and Hospital for post mortem. The deceased’s relatives had identified the body.

As the preliminary indicates the murder was a fall out of an old rivalry. Police said that the boy was killed by slashing his throat. His face was smashed with a heavy boulder to hide his identity.

Nagpur Police team investigating at the murder spot

Rohit’s relatives informed the police that Rohit went to attend a party Yogesh Uikey’s house. Rohit had left the house with Yogesh who came to pick Rohit on Sunday. It must be mentioned that Yogesh and Rohit had a record of old rivalry. Also, Yogesh’s father Bandya Uikey is infamous in the area for his illegal sell of liquor. Sources informed that Rohit left with Yogesh in a autorickshaw. However, his parents were worried when Rohit did not return home at night. Someone informed them about the body in the morning and they identified it to be Rohit.

Police informed that Rohit’s friend Yeda is absconding from his house and Rohit’s parents alleged that Yeda must have some information about the murder. It must be taken into consideration that, Vinod Bhange was murdered at the ground in 2013 exactly in front of today’s murder scene.

Nearby residents and commuters have, time and again, complained the Medical College authorities about the illegal den of all the anti-social elements in the ruined buildings, but the appeals have always fell on deaf ears and no action had ever been taken. Thus, the area has become prone towards untoward incidents.

Police informed that no accused has been arrested so far in involvement of this murder while the preliminary investigations have led them to certain clues which might help them to crack the case soon. Cops have registered a murder case against unknown persons and started their investigations.
