Nagpur: The rebellion within the BJP over the Nagpur Graduate Constituency election appears to have subsided after Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis visited rebel leader Anil Sole at his residence to persuade him to withdraw his resignation.
Fadnavis held a closed-door discussion with Sole amid intensified efforts to resolve the internal dispute. Following the intervention, Sole reportedly decided to withdraw his resignation and support BJP candidate Sudhakar Kohale.
Girish Vyas also withdrew his resignation, signalling a possible resolution to the internal differences within the party ahead of the election.
The development comes as the BJP seeks to consolidate support in the Nagpur Graduate Constituency, while the political developments have drawn attention to the Maha Aghadi’s electoral calculations.
