Ancient Nagardhan fort comes alive to the beats of Pakhawaj in 2016 Kalidasa festival

ddi_9847Nagpur: Pakwaj Maestro Pt Bhavanishankar, vocalist son and disciple Aniruddha Shirke musically shook the walls of the ancient Nagardhan Fort, with their superfine blend o f classical vocal and Percussion, to mark the Day One of the Kalidas Mahotsav, organised under the aegis of Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation (MTDC) and Kalidas Samaroh Ayojan Samiti, that commenced from Sunday.

ddi_9659The inauguration being held at Nagardhan Fort. Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis inaugurate the Kalidas Mahotsav via video recorded message was presented before a huge gathering of over a thousand plus, who had enthusiastically gathered at the venue to be part of the mahotsay.

ddi_9800Dignitaries present on the occasion were Guardian Minister Chandrasekhar Bawankule, Playwright Mahesh Elkunchwar, Divisional Commissioner Anoop Kumar, Justice Varale, District CollectorSachinKurve,AuthorAmish Tripathi, MP RamtekKrupalTumane, MLA Mallilcarjun Reddy, Former MLA Ashish Jaiswal, MLA, Manisha Sawarkar, Director SCZCC Dr Piyush Kumar, NIT Chairman Deepak Mhaiselcar, Joint MD of MTDC Satish Soni, General Manager MTDC Swati Kale, Regional Manager MTDC Hemant Hede, Chandrapal Chouksey, Madhukarrao Kimmaticar and others.

ddi_0086The programme commenced with the lighting of the lamp at the hands of dignitaries and presenting o f Chief Minister’s message. Guardian Minister Chandrasekhar Bawankule was accorded a warm welcome with a bouquet presented by Divisional Commissioner Anoop Kumar.
