Nagpur: The air in the city has turned festive. Although Christmas carnival is still one week away, Christian brethren are gearing up to celebrate the festival in all its glory. Markets have decked up for shoppers.

Churches are being illuminated, residences are being decorated in festive colours, markets and shopping malls are awash with an array of carnival items such as Christmas Tree, attractive bells, festoons, Santa Claus masks and many more that would be showcased to add colours to the festival, celebrated as birthday of Jesus Christ.

Following the traditions, midnight masses, carols, and gatherings will be held across the city, not just restricted to Christian brethren.

The churches, eateries and shopping malls would draw a steady stream of people with the tolling of bells. Candles would be lit in churches and people in their best attires would pray ushering in Christmas and extending Merry Christmas greeting. There would be several Santa Clauses spreading merry and joy.

The day is about happy homecoming and celebrating with your loved ones.
