Aged man attacked for demanding his money back

Demanding his money back over a failed cement deal proved costly for an aged man as he was attacked and hit on head with a blunt object at Vrundavan City, Gumgaon in the outskirts of city. The accused attacker has been booked.

The complainant Sayyed Shahabuddin (80), resident of 42, Tajbagh, told police that he had given Rs 1 lakh to accused Taher Burauddin for cement bags. However, the accused neither delivered cement bags nor returned money to Sayyed despite several reminders. After failing to get his money, Sayyed Shahabuddin, on Sunday around 3 pm, personally went to Vrundavan City situated at Gumgaon in Hingna area and demanded the accused to either deliver cement bags or return his Rs 1 lakh. However, the accused Taher Burauddin, instead, attacked Sayyed with an iron angle and inflicted serious head injuries.

Hingna cops, based on Sayyed’s statement and medical report, booked the accused Taher Burauddin under Sections 326, 506 of IPC and started investigation.
